Summer Institute
Quick Facts
The University of
Alabama in Tuscaloosa hosted SECME’s
first Summer Institute in 1977.
Alabama and Georgia Tech have hosted
three SIs each.
To date, 20 SECME member engineering
universities have served as host sites.
SI 2007 marks a record 8th Summer
Institute to be held in the State
of Florida.
