YES! YES! YES! What a thrill! SECME appears to
be a very exciting program. Networking with teachers
from all over the states and getting ideas from
the potpourri was very helpful in helping me get
started. Everyone seemed very creative.
I’ve already been SECME-tized! I can’t
wait to talk to my principal about getting started.
Potpourri was great! I enjoyed my “personal
time.”
Can’t wait to see what a “mouse-trap
car” is.
Talking to and learning from the master teachers
is ALWAYS an eye-opening experience. Great. Thank
you!
I have learned that there is an organization that
can help me in achieving my goals of bringing true
learnings to the children who have been formally
robbed of useful learnings through having to pass
the test.
What may be done to help new people coming into
SECME would be to pair up seasoned SECMEtized people
with newcomers.
I thought it was a wonderful setup. Fast, efficient
and convenient. The “SECME USA” song
was super. (I would love a copy to show my students
how they can be creative.) Like always the staff
is wonderful and trying to make sure you are going
good it is a pleasure to attend with such a wonderful
group of individuals the potpourri was awesome.
I have new innovative fun things to do with my students.
Lastly, the only suggestion is food. There needs
to be more variety or made available to eat from
the cafeteria.
The highlights
are the dedicated educators who have such a vision
for our youth. I have worked with 4th and 2nd graders
in a SECME afterschool program. I love the suggestions
and am looking forward to the training this week
because there were experiences I wanted to have
with my students but felt I didn’t have the
techniques to approach them.
Firstly, I never expected for the staff to be
as friendly, professional and helpful like they
were on the day of arrival. Everything was extremely
organized from registration to the whole group seminars,
I originally thought SECME was only about since
but through the powerpoint presentations and talking
with the Master Teachers I found SECME to integrate
math, science and technology as one and they do
a lot for the kids.
My suggestion only is not to have long presentations
where the teachers sit for hours at a time.
