Igniting Minds through STEM Education — Experience SECME We call it being SECMEtized! To provide its premier, STEM-focused professional development Experience, SECME sponsors a Summer Institute in partnership with one of its 39 member engineering universities. This summer Clemson University's College of Engineering and Science, School of Education, and Diversity Office will host the SECME Summer Institute for eight days of concentrated "learning and doing science, technology, engineering, and math" for K-12 classroom educators and education leadership. The SECME Institute Experience will encompass module strands for elementary, middle, and high school STEM classroom teachers as well as building- and district- leadership. In addition to earning professional development credit, participants are invited to attend the parallel, concurrent SECME STEM Workforce Pipeline Diversity Summit's“"Innovations in STEM" panel and discussion and the SECME National Student Competition and Awards Celebration.
